Festival in the Park returns with Britpop favourites and family fun at Queen's Park
Music fans are in for a treat as Festival in the Park returns to Burnley's Queen's Park on Saturday promising nine hours of family entertainment and some of the best-loved songs from the indie and Britpop era.
Running from noon until 9pm, the festival features a packed line-up headed by Laid, one of the UK's leading James tribute bands, performing favourites including Sit Down, Laid and She's A Star.
Also taking to the stage are I Am Gallagher, recreating the sound and swagger of Oasis with classics such as Wonderwall, Live Forever and Don't Look Back In Anger. They'll be joined by The Cortinas, a Gerry Cinnamon tribute celebrating the Scottish singer-songwriter's biggest anthems, and Appy Mundays, bringing the iconic music of the Happy Mondays to Queen's Park.
With tickets priced at just £12 and children aged 12 and under admitted free, organisers say the event offers an affordable day out for music lovers and families alike.

Organiser Madge Nawaz said: "We've put together what we think is a fantastic line-up at a price that offers real value for money. We want people to come along, have a brilliant day and enjoy a proper community festival right here in Burnley.
"It's a good old-fashioned family event with something for everyone, and we'd love to see as many local families there as possible."
Fellow organiser Craig Kennedy said: "Putting on festivals like this at these prices is getting harder and harder every year, but we believe it's important to keep live music accessible for local people.
"We're really proud of the line-up we've put together and we'd love to see Queen's Park packed with families and music fans enjoying a great day out together. We really need the public's support because events like this can only continue if people get behind them."
Gates open at noon. First band on at 1.30pm, last band finishes 8-30pm.
