Ribble Valley charity receives record £1,570 from Family Fun Day
The event, which took place in the Ribble Valley, saw a record amount raised for the local charity, with organisers hailing it a huge success.
A Family Fun Day, held last Sunday, September 13th, at West Bradford Village Hall in aid of Ribble Valley Crossroads Care, raised an incredible £1,570.

Ribble Valley Crossroads Care is a local not-for-profit charity that has been supporting carers and their loved ones to live independently in their own homes for over 35 years and the £1,570 marks the highest amount they’ve raised.
The community rallied together to raise vital funds, which will enable Ribble Valley Crossroads Care to continue supporting carers and their loved ones, as well as running our community clubs across the Ribble Valley.
The Family Fun Day was packed with activities and entertainment, including DJ Starkie as their MC, face painting, an inflatable Grand National, Welly throwing and lawn games that included Splat The Rat, which was donated by Browsholme. There was also a Clitheroe Repair Café on hand, repairing fabric and electrical items free of charge, hot dogs and burgers from Lancashire Catering Lasses, barista coffee from DC Coffee, stone-baked pizzas from Tuk Tuk Pizza Company.
Additionally, attendees were able to receive blood pressure checks provided by Field Nurse, watch interviews with staff and clients by Ribble FM, experience live music from Noreen’s Specials and the Clitheroe Ukulele Orchestra, a tombola, lucky dips and a fantastic raffle, with prizes generously donated by local businesses.
Anna Sherrington, Fundraising Co-ordinator at Ribble Valley Crossroads Care said: “The atmosphere was fantastic, and it was particularly special to see so many local businesses, volunteers, families, staff, clients and members of the community pulling together to support such an important local cause.”
