Burnley FC charity teams up with ClassHoppa to make activities easier to find and book

Two Cliviger sisters who enjoyed activities at Burnley FC as children are helping more families discover and book sessions through the club's official charity

Two sisters who grew up taking part in activities at Burnley Football Club are hoping to help more local families get active through a new partnership with the club's official charity.

Cliviger sisters Siobhan Fox and Olivia Cooley, founders of activity discovery and booking platform ClassHoppa, have teamed up with Burnley FC in the Community to make its wide range of sessions easier to find and book.

From November 5, the charity's free and paid activities will be available through the platform, which has already sold more than 44,000 sessions to over 8,000 families.

ClassHoppa was launched by the sisters to give busy parents an easier way to discover and book clubs, classes and holiday camps in one place, particularly when using mobile devices.

The Burnley FC in the Community activities now listed include children's holiday clubs, elite pathways, award-winning STEM classes and adult walking sports.

The partnership aims to help more people across Burnley and East Lancashire benefit from the opportunities provided by the charity.

Last year, Burnley FC in the Community delivered 14,279 sessions and supported more than 30,000 people.

The move also comes against a backdrop of concerns about physical inactivity, with 27.6% of adults in Burnley classed as physically inactive, compared with 21.8% across England, according to Lancashire County Council figures.

ClassHoppa co-founder Siobhan Fox said the partnership was particularly special because of her own childhood experiences at the football club.

She said: "Helping people discover and book Burnley FC in the Community's sessions is a real full-circle moment.

"I used to go to activities at Burnley Football Club growing up, which really built my confidence and helped me make lifelong friends.

"But not everyone is that lucky. Finding a sport or activity you love can be life-changing, whatever your age, and we're committed to helping more people easily find and book brilliant activities to look forward to each week."

Amelia Stalton-Tracey, marketing and events coordinator at Burnley FC in the Community, said the charity was delighted to be working with another local organisation.

She said: "At Burnley FC in the Community, we're passionate about creating opportunities that make a positive difference to people's lives.

"We're always looking for new ways to help people discover and access the activities available through our charity, so we're delighted to be partnering with ClassHoppa.

"As a fellow local organisation, they share our commitment to supporting communities, and we look forward to helping even more people connect with positive opportunities across Burnley and East Lancashire."
