mydentist Burnley opens NHS places for 2,000 new patients
A Burnley dental practice is offering NHS appointments to up to 2,000 new patients amid continuing difficulties accessing NHS dentistry.
mydentist Burnley, on Padiham Road, has increased its NHS capacity and is now accepting new patients where availability allows.
The practice said the move was aimed at helping more people in the local community access NHS dental care at a time when finding a dentist accepting new patients remains challenging.
Both adults and children can register as NHS patients.

Alongside NHS treatment, the practice offers private dental care through its mydentist myoptions service, as well as hygiene and aesthetic treatments including teeth whitening, teeth straightening and smile makeovers.
Heidi Helsdon, mydentist area development manager, said the practice was “proud” to have increased the amount of NHS dentistry it can provide in Burnley.
She said: “We know that accessing dental care in this region is difficult, which is why we are proud to have been able to increase the amount of NHS dentistry we can deliver to our local community.
“Our aim is to meet the needs of our patients here in Burnley both now and in the future and increasing our NHS capacity is a clear demonstration of this.”
Kafia Chir, practice manager at mydentist Burnley, said the practice was “delighted” to be able to offer greater NHS availability.
She added: “In a climate where accessing NHS dentistry remains a challenge, we're really pleased to have been able to expand our NHS capacity.”
New patients are being accepted subject to availability.
