The couple started the successful Saturday morning concert series in 2014 to fund-raise for the restoration and maintenance of the church's historic organ and to support its musical tradition.

Jonathan had a great rapport with the couple and Saturday's concert will give him the chance to return to play Haydn’s last piano sonata in Eb, a selection of Liszt’s Années de pèlerinage and Schubert’s ‘Wanderer’ Fantasy in C major.

Former East Lancashire coroner, David, died in 2022 and Caroline, last December and the annual event is organised by the church as a mark of respect to the special couple.

Jonathan is a graduate and postgraduate of the RNCM and Manchester University and studied with John Gough and John Wilson.

He is currently known as one of the foremost accompanists and repetiteurs in the North West of England, but also works as a solo pianist and chamber musician.

Jonathan is a multiple prize winner at music festivals and the Buxton Festival Fringe, where he has won awards for best solo musician twice, best chamber ensemble, with his "Ryebank Trio", and best small theatre group, with Opera Seria, conducting a performance of Mozart's "Don Giovanni" from the piano.
Admission is £7 on the door (U18s free) which includes refreshments served from 10.30am, with the concert beginning at 11 a.m. Free parking is available in the school yard on Rawcliffe Street, and disabled parking in the church grounds.
