Scott Parker’s side enter into 2026 off the back of a ten-game winless streak, which leaves them 19th in the table and six points adrift of safety.

9. Wolves 2-3 Burnley, October 26
Earning victories in the top flight is hard enough, but claiming back-to-back wins is a rare feat - especially for a side battling relegation. But Burnley managed to do exactly that thanks to Lyle Foster’s dramatic stoppage-time winner. The Clarets had earlier squandered a two-goal lead to be pegged back to 2-2 at half-time, with Zian Flemming among the scorers with a sumptuous first-time, side-footed effort from range. If there was going to be a winner in the second-half, it looked as though it would be Wolves, but Burnley produced one moment of quality right at the death to snatch the three points for their first away win of the season. 10. Bournemouth 1-1 Burnley, December 20
Coming off the back of a miserable seven-game losing run, the Clarets headed to the South Coast knowing they simply had to pick up something. Scott Parker very much went back to basics, reverting to a back five and bringing in Joe Worrall to add more steel and experience to the backline. Quilindschy Hartman, meanwhile, was dropped from the squad completely following a poor display against Fulham. It was far from pretty, in fact at times it was very, very limited, but the Clarets picked up a late point thanks to Armando Broja’s last minute header to at least relieve some pressure after a tough couple of months.
