Sean Dyche’s men are on the back on two consecutive defeats against in-form Manchester United and West Ham United ahead of the trip to Merseyside.

The Clarets are four points outside the Premier League relegation zone, so are in no danger of dropping below the red line before the weekend, though a shock result would go a long way to ensuring a sixth successive season in the top-flight.

Kick-off at Anfield is at 8pm on Thursday, January 21.

The match will be played behind closed doors due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

What’s the latest team news?

The left-back has been sidelined since the victory over Sheffield United on December 29.

Dyche said before the game at the London Stadium: "Charlie Taylor is a doubt, he is a maybe.

“There are a couple searching for true fitness as in high-level Premier League fitness but the squad is coming back together now."

Who is the referee?

The officials for the game are yet to be confirmed.

What are the latest betting odds?

Liverpool, to no surprise, are priced as heavy favourites at 1/6.
