The victory, courtesy of Luca Koleosho’s solo run and strike, saw Scott Parker’s men move up to fourth in the table on 10 points from their first five games.

Today they take on a Portsmouth side that have yet to claim their first win in the Championship following their promotion from League One last term.

Despite that, their three points have come via impressive draws against promotion-chasing Leeds, Luton Town and Middlesbrough.

Here’s all the important information ahead of today’s fixture:

When and where is the game taking place?

The match is being held at Burnley’s Turf Moor stadium on Saturday, September 21. Kick-off is at 3pm.

How else can I follow the game?

Burnley FC writer Matt Scrafton will be providing live updates on his Twitter feed, followed by a match report, post-match reaction and further analysis on the Burnley Express’ website.

What’s the latest team news?

Burnley will need to make late calls on the fitness of Connor Roberts and Lyle Foster after the duo missed last weekend’s win against Leeds with slight knocks suffered during the recent international break.

Roberts appeared to injure his arm during Wales’ 2-1 win in Montenegro, while Foster picked up a virus while away with South Africa.

Both have returned to training this week, but they’re still not guaranteed to be available for Saturday’s encounter at Turf Moor.

Bashir Humphreys is suspended having been shown two yellow cards against Leeds, while Jordan Beyer, Hannes Delcroix, Hjalmar Ekdal, Aaron Ramsey, Enock Agyei, Nathan Redmond and Mike Tresor are all longer-term concerns.

As for Pompey, Conor Shaughnessy is a doubt, while Colby Bishop, Mark O’Mahony and Kusini Yengi are all out.

Scott Parker’s pre-match comments

“They’re a good side. They want to try and play the right way and they can cause you problems in terms of certain aspects of how they play and how they position.

“We need to be fully aware of the problems they pose and we’ve prepped the players in terms of that this week.

“We need to go into this game with an intensity about it, we need to be on the front foot early on and then dominate when we can.

“They’re a good side that can cause you problems if you allow them to, so we need to be fully aware of that.”

What are the predicted teams?

Burnley: Trafford, Roberts, Worrall, Esteve, Pires, Cullen, Brownhill, Koleosho, Anthony, Flemming, Foster
