Early odds for Burnley's next manager after Nicky Hayen's sacking

Early odds for Burnley’s next manager

The bookmakers have wasted no time in assembling their early odds list for the next Burnley manager.

It comes after the Clarets opted to part ways with Nicky Hayen after today’s spineless 4-1 defeat to Lincoln City.

It leaves Burnley 22nd in the Championship, three points adrift of safety.

Hayen, only appointed in July, won just one of his 12 league games in charge.

Steven Gerrard has been installed as the immediate favourite with the bookies, ahead of Dave Challinor, Rob Edwards and Sean Dyche

The Liverpool legend was linked with the post earlier this summer as Burnley looked to find Scott Parker’s replacement.

Edwards is also said to have turned down the chance to take over at Turf Moor.

Craig Bellamy, who performed a late U-turn to return to his old stomping ground, is also among the possible options.

Carlos Corberan, a name who has been mooted to the Burnley Express as a potential replacement, also features in the odds.

Burnley next manager odds

Steven Gerrard 4/1

Dave Challinor, Rob Edwards, Sean Dyche 6/1

Carlos Corberan 8/1

Steve Cooper, Craig Bellamy 10/1

Gary Rowett, Karl Robinson, Scott Parker 12/1

Robbie Keane, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Thomas Frank 16/1
