Burnley's 25-man squad list published as Humphreys, Edwards and Tresor miss out

Burnley’s 25-man squad list published

Burnley have left EIGHT players out of their 25-man squad list - including Bashir Humphreys, Marcus Edwards and Mike Tresor.

Humphreys misses out amid an ongoing injury absence, with the defender expected to miss around two months of action with a knee problem.

Edwards and Tresor both miss out too, despite featuring relatively heavily during the opening stages of the season.

Ben Amos, Jordan Beyer, Shurandy Sambo, Ashley Barnes and Michael Obafemi are also omitted.

Barnes is left out despite only returning to the club earlier this summer, penning one final short-term contract before turning his hand to coaching. But it means he won’t get to play.

Amos’ absence means Burnley have named just two goalkeepers in Max Weiss and deputy Gregoire Coudert.

The Clarets have left one spot free, however, having named just 24 players. This space can be filled at any time.

Josh Cullen, who is back in training following a nine-month absence with an ACL injury, is included.

The Clarets have named 10 homegrown players. Seven must be included in every match day squad.
