Year 11 students Georgia Aspinall (15) and Beth Hall (16) have both secured places at prestigious dance schools after coming through tough auditions.

Georgia, who is at Sandersons Dance in Burnley, has been offered a place at Lane Dance School in Epsom while Beth, also of Sandersons, has a spot at Hammond Dance School in Chester.

“It’s my dream to be a dancer,” said Georgia. “I would love to perform in the West End or Broadway.”

Georgia will have another audition to see if she can secure a scholarship place on her Musical Theatre course.

“It will be against the best of the best but I do thrive off competition.”

Beth dreams of being a backing dancer on a music video.

“We have both performed at the Palace Theatre and the Lowry Centre which were really exciting,” said Beth.

“We have both been offered places and have auditions for other dance schools coming up as well. It’s great to have a place at a school secured though.”
