Clitheroe Garden Club Show is a blooming success!

Dozens of green-fingered enthusiasts enjoyed an excellent range of exhibits at this year's Clitheroe Garden Club annual show.

The event, held on Saturday at St James Primary School, Clitheroe, saw numerous entries over 60 categories including vegetables, fruits, flowers, plants, photos, paintings, cakes and delights.

Trophies and awards were presented by local businessman Mr David Shackleton, owner of Shackletons Home and Garden, Chatburn and some of the produce and exhibits were later auctioned by auctioneer Mr Gordon Woodward.

A spokesman for the show said: “It was a great day with fine weather and everyone enjoyed themselves. Thanks to everyone who exhibited and to Noel Hodgson for coordinating the successful annual show.”
