Volunteer launches campaign for presents for teenagers for Burnley Together Christmas Gift Appeal
Jess Holt, a volunteer for the Burnley Together Christmas Gift Appeal, has raised hundreds of pounds and donated over 200 presents to teenagers in the past two years, and is now planning a fundraising event in Burnley.
A tireless volunteer for the Burnley Together Christmas Gift Appeal is in her fourth year of raising money for presents for teenagers.
Jess Holt began her campaign as the appeal always seemed to be lacking in presents ideal for teens.
“It made me realise how lucky I am, “ said Jess who works in the People Team for Calico, one of Burnley Together’s partners
“ So I decided I wanted to change that so I started to create kits filled with lots of presents that will bring them joy on Christmas Day.”
Jess’ campaign has blossomed and in the past two years she has raised hundreds of pounds and donated over 200 presents to teens through the appeal.
This year she has a fundraising event planned on Saturday, November 7, at Flight Night at Maltings Mill, Sandygate, Burnley. The ‘Flight Night Royal Rumble’ kicks off at 2-30pm and will be a day full of darts, raffles and prizes.
