Burnley shop Rosegrove Fresh Fruit and Vegetables supports Burnley Together Christmas Gift Appeal
Burnley shop Rosegrove Fresh Fruit and Vegetables is supporting the Burnley Together Christmas Gift Appeal, which aims to help families who may struggle to afford gifts for their children this Christmas, with over 1,100 children supported last year.
Shop owner Diane Beach has received a flying start from her customers as she supports this year’s Burnley Together Christmas Gift Appeal.
Several gifts have been dropped off at Diane’s shop, Rosegrove Fresh Fruit and Vegetables in Burnley’s Lowerhouse Lane. And the Christmas elves visit daily to collect them in time to send off to Father Christmas.
Diane said:”My customers are always very supportive, and especially so when it comes to making sure no child has to go without presents and toys on Christmas morning.”
This year’s appeal was launched with a trolley dash in Charter Walk shopping centre.
Staff from Down Town dressed in festive gear and rang sleigh bells as they collected donations of toys and gifts from a number of stores in the town.
The appeal, which is championed by the Burnley Express, supports families who may otherwise struggle to afford gifts for their children.
Last year the appeal helped more than 1,100 children across 523 families, and the team hopes to reach even more this Christmas.
You can donate new, unwrapped gifts for children and young people aged from birth to 18. Gift cards and games are particularly welcome for teenagers. Every contribution will help Burnley Together support families who might otherwise find it difficult to provide presents on Christmas Day.
There are also collection points at Down Town, the Charter Walk Office, Burnley Central Library, Asda and Tesco.
