Clitheroe drama group present ‘Clerical Errors’

TRINITY Drama Group is supporting Rotary’s drive to eradicate polio from the world.

Its next production, “Clerical Errors”, is to be presented from February 2nd to 5th at Trinity Church Hall, Clitheroe. The February 2nd performance will be in support of Rotary’s “Thanks for Life” project, which over the past 25 years has funded a worldwide immunisation programme which has eradicated polio from all but three countries.

“Clerical Errors” is a comedy with a serious message. The Rev James Martin’s simple moral upbringing is shattered when the Briggs family squat in a disused Methodist Church. The story reveals how James deals with the situation.

February is a busy month for Rotary. The movement’s birthday is on February 23rd and Rotary has asked Ribble Valley places of worship to make February 20th Polio Sunday, to raise awareness.

During February, purple crocuses will appear in large quantities country wide as a symbol of those who have been immunised, as those who are have a finger dipped in purple dye.
