Greenbrook Methodist Church Pantomime Society is a not-for-profit organisation on the shortlist for Aviva Community Funding of up to £5,000.

The grant will be used to purchase a new lighting desk.

Having been active for more than 30 years, the society mentors young people aged five and over from various backgrounds through open workshops in dance, acting and singing. It comprises an "army" of volunteers running production, front of house and a social committee.

A portion of the profits from shows and fund-raising events goes towards the cost of the next production while a donation is made to Greenbrook Methodist Church in thanks for the free hire of the venue. The rest is donated to causes like Children in Need, Comic Relief and Pendleside Hospice.
