“FC Bayern are still in concrete and positive talks with Kompany,” he wrote on X.
“Kompany is currently Bayern's preferred solution. [Max] Eberl and [Christoph] Freund want him. This is also because the 38 y/o is ready to take on the challenge at Bayern.
“However, there are no complete agreements yet.”

Kompany has also been linked with Chelsea in recent times but it’s been reported there has been no talks on this occasion.
In his sit-down interview with the club, Kompany looked back on Burnley’s relegation, discussed the challenge of bouncing back from the Championship at the first attempt and the need to take some rest after a physically and mentally draining campaign.
“I promise I will try to switch off, but it usually takes me three or four days to get there,” he told Clarets+.

“I know it’s an important exercise. It’s not necessarily that I feel I need it, but it’s the people around me that need it. It’s good for the people around me that I switch off sometimes, my family, my friends. They need it.
“Any time I’ve been able to do it, it’s also been positive and a good thing.”
