Leeds boss Daniel Farke speaks of Burnley and Scott Parker 'respect' amid managerial uncertainty
Daniel Farke has spoken of his “respect” for Scott Parker ahead of his Leeds United side’s clash with Burnley on Friday night.
Both managers have built reputations for themselves as being promotion specialists from the Championship – with three apiece to their name.
But while Farke and Leeds look to have secured Premier League safety this season, Parker’s Burnley side have already suffered relegation with four games still to play.
It’s led to growing uncertainty over Parker’s future, with the club’s board continuing to discuss his future – with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard strongly linked.
But as it stands, it’s business as usual with Parker continuing to take training ahead of Friday’s trip to Elland Road.
While many will be expecting a straight-forward Leeds win, Farke insists it won’t be that simple.
“No complacency, we have to make sure everyone is fit and available,” he said.

"Then we concentrate like every other game, very respectful. Burnley are rarely turned over, always competitive, many tight games.
"I’ve got so much respect for what Scott is doing. I’ve never seen a Burnley team give up, showed good performances and came close to pretty impressive results.
"Sometimes once relegation is confirmed it gives you more freedom because there is less pressure. Very difficult to say this game will be easier because they are relegated, I expect it to be more complicated.”

Farke was speaking during a press conference this afternoon where he revealed a couple of fitness concerns.
He confirmed Gabriel Gudmundsson will miss at least the next two games with a hamstring injured he suffered during last week’s FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea.
Elsewhere, Noah Okafor, who has been a star man in attack of late for Leeds, and centre-back Jaka Bijol are not guaranteed to feature against the Clarets.
“Noah Okafor got a hit on his calf, there's a little question mark,” Farke added.
“Jaka Bijol is dealing with some problems with his hip flexor. I hope to have both available but I can't tell you if they will be.”
Ilia Gruev is also out for the remainder of the season after damaging the meniscus in his knee.
Parker is due to speak to the press on Thursday afternoon.
