This summer’s transfer window is set to be a fascinating one with managers, players, fans and clubs unsure what to expect. While the Premier League and Championship could be back up and running next month, in Scotland the 2019/20 campaign has already been concluded.
The knock-on effects will likely be felt both sides of the border. While Scottish clubs could see selling players to England as a way of bringing in income during such a difficult period financially, conversely English clubs may see Scotland as a market where they are able to recruit gems without breaking the bank.

13. Jeremie Frimpong - Celtic
The right-back’s explosive performances and development at Celtic will not have gone unnoticed by clubs in England. His age, precociousness and promise could tempt clubs to try and get him for a cheaper price than they will be able to get in coming years. Photo: Catherine Ivill
The Finnish international progressed massively since joining Rangers. There are few players with his composure. He has been linked with Juventus and will surely be monitored in England. Photo: Dean Mouhtaropoulos
Ajer’s agent suggested this summer would be departing this summer. He has been linked with moves away from Parkhead and is one of Celtic’s key assets. Another young player who clubs will see as having plenty of promise. In a similar playing mould to Virgil van Dijk. Photo: Ian MacNicol
An excellent breakthrough season at Saint in 2018/19. Was handed the captaincy last year despite his age. After some struggles once again showed his promise and his rounded defensive skills before shutdown. Photo: Ian MacNicol
