The Clarets were in fine form as they put Wolves to the sword last weekend, with Chris Wood hitting a first-half hat-trick in a 4-0 victory.

After that match, the New Zealander suggested that he and his teammates required one more win to be absolutely guaranteed a spot in the top flight next term.

A clash against the high-flying Hammers will be far from easy, but then again, manager Sean Dyche is under no illusions as to just how hard his side has to work year in, year out.

Speaking in a press conference, he said: "We have to have strong seasons to stay in the Premier League, it's a constant work for us.

"It's not an easy ride, and it isn't for anyone else, but certain clubs you think, even on a bad day you're going to be in the Premier League and win your fair share of games.

"Ours is a constant work in progress. I don't really overthink where it can go, this season I had full belief in this side being in the Premier League, and then we stay open-minded about what we can achieve.

"We've done that well here, I've never been against being open-minded, it's just there are other goals you have to get to first, to allow your shoulders to come back and make sure you can go out and play, and we've done that well."
