Esteve, Beyer, Roberts & Amdouni: Burnley injury update ahead of festive Everton clash
Burnley will make a late call on Maxime Esteve’s availability ahead of their festive clash against Everton.
The defender missed the weekend’s 1-1 draw at Bournemouth with a knock he picked up in training on the eve of Saturday’s game.
While it’s not thought to be a significant blow, it remains to be seen whether the Frenchman will be available for Saturday’s encounter.
“He was on the grass today, so we'll have to see a little bit nearer later on in the week whether he makes the weekend,” Parker said during today’s pre-match press conference.
“Obviously, like I said previous to the Bournemouth game, it isn't a significant or a big injury, but there is a little something there. But he’s on the grass, he's running.
“We'll see where we are with him a bit closer to the game on Saturday to see whether he makes it or not.”
Parker also provided an update on the trio of Burnley players – Jordan Beyer, Connor Roberts and Zeki Amdouni – who are all longer-term absentees.

“They’re all doing really well,” the Clarets boss added.
“Zeki, what is he now, probably like three or four months into an ACL? So he's probably another four months away.

“Connor is doing alright post-surgery, but again, he will be some time.
“Jordan as well, he’s picked up a little bit over the last few weeks on the grass, but we just need to tread carefully with Jordan, just with the history of what he's been through, so that one may be a bit slower as well.”
The Clarets also welcomed back Bashir Humphreys to the fold at Bournemouth, with the defender being named among the substitutes. But Parker has warned he’s not 100 per cent fit just yet.
“Bash has been out for some time,” he said. “He had a 30-minute in-house game, but it's probably still a little bit early for Bash to be honest with you, in terms of how long he's had out.
“You'd like to maybe get him some more minutes in the Under-21s. But due to circumstances, certainly on the weekend of how it all happened so quickly, certainly with Maxi and a few others, that he comes onto the bench. So he's in a good place, for sure, and he'll only keep improving.”
