Full list of Burnley's summer ins and outs after another big squad churn

A full list of Burnley’s ins and outs following the closure of summer transfer window

Deadline day brought a busy end - although perhaps not as busy as many anticipated - to another summer of major squad churn for Burnley.

Zian Flemming was the headline departure, making the move back to the Premier League with Ipswich Town for a package £20m deal, thought to be £17m up front and £3m in further add-ons.

Despite Nicky Hayen, earlier in the day, talking about the need to replace their number nine should he leave, no new striker was forthcoming.

The Clarets did end the deal with a surprise late deal though, announced 20 minutes after the 11pm deadline, as Reo Hatate arrived from Celtic for an undisclosed fee.

A central midfielder, the Japanese international will hopefully solve what has been a problem area for Burnley during the early parts of the season.

Igor Julio, a defender that is capable of playing at both centre-back and left-back, arrived from Brighton, while Leeds United winger Largie Ramazani also signed on the dotted line.

The only other outgoing was Joe Worrall to fellow Championship side Wrexham, as the experienced defender goes in search of more regular game time.

In total, there were 10 ins and 10 outs over the summer - not quite as dramatic as the 18 in and 21 out under Scott Parker a couple of years ago, but still a significant change nonetheless.

There are some big names in that list of departures though, as you can see from below, most notably Flemming and Maxime Esteve, two firm favourites with those on the terraces.

The likes of Florentino Luis, Lesley Ugochukwu, Jaidon Anthony and Loum Tchaouna all featured regularly in the Premier League last season too.

Flemming aside, they’ve all been replaced to varying degrees, with the likes of Anel Ahmedhodzic, Max Alleyne, Ugo Raghouber and Dastan Satpayev all expected to feature heavily this season, along with those three that arrived on deadline day.

They’ll all need to settle in relatively quickly following another busy summer of ins and outs at Turf Moor.
