Burnley were held to a frustrating goalless draw to Portsmouth in Fabio Celestini’s first game in charge.
The Clarets were the better side for much of the game, especially during the first half, but were unable to make their dominance pay.
Celestini’s side produced 18 shots on the Pompey goal, while limiting the visitors to no shots on target, but were unable to find that all-important breakthrough.
Here’s how Burnley’s players rated:
9. Marcus Edwards - 7/10
A constant threat in between the lines, but missed Burnley’s biggest chance of the day from just a yard out. Attitude also needs addressing. | Kelvin Lister-Stuttard Photo: Kelvin Lister-Stuttard
10. Andreas Hountondji - 6/10
Did pretty well and certainly gave his all, as he always does. Headed just over before seeing a stabbed effort well saved. | Kelvin Lister-Stuttard Photo: Kelvin Lister-Stuttard
11. Jamie Vardy - 6/10
Had a couple of sniffs of goal on his return from a back problem. Almost got through the middle early on before a half chance was snuffed out at the near post in the second half. | Kelvin Lister-Stuttard Photo: Kelvin Lister-Stuttard
12. SUB: Jaydon Banel - 6/10
For Vardy, 61 Side footed over with a half chance on his return from injury, as he made his first appearance of the season. | Kelvin Lister-Stuttard
