Burnley were held to a frustrating goalless draw to Portsmouth in Fabio Celestini’s first game in charge.
The Clarets were the better side for much of the game, especially during the first half, but were unable to make their dominance pay.
Celestini’s side produced 18 shots on the Pompey goal, while limiting the visitors to no shots on target, but were unable to find that all-important breakthrough.
Here’s how Burnley’s players rated:
5. Lucas Pires - 6/10
It was his corner delivery that caused the carnage for Edwards’ big chance. Otherwise pretty solid, if unspectacular. | Kelvin Lister-Stuttard Photo: Kelvin Lister-Stuttard
6. Josh Laurent - 6/10
More at home in a deeper position, where he was able to help build up play and use his presence to good effect. | Kelvin Lister-Stuttard Photo: Kelvin Lister-Stuttard
7. Reo Hatate - 6/10
Recycled the ball well and got about the pitch to tidy up and mop up any trouble. Not an all-action display, but a solid one. | Kelvin Lister-Stuttard Photo: Kelvin Lister-Stuttard
8. Largie Ramazani - 6/10
Always looking to get involved, but his final ball wasn’t always there. Skewed wide in the second half, but it was a tough chance. | Kelvin Lister-Stuttard Photo: Kelvin Lister-Stuttard
