Burnley FC raise laughs at cult comedy film ‘The Inbetweeners’

THE big screen version of cult comedy The Inbetweeners is raising laughs up and down the country – with a little bit of help from Clarets fans.

The hit show which followed the fortunes of four socially awkward sixth-formers and their escapades is currently on cinema screens in its first film incarnation. One scene features Burnley fans and main character Will McKenzie.

The story which follows the boys on their first lads holiday abroad to Malia, Crete, sees Will on a coach getting frustrated by the boisterous singing of Burnley fans.

The genuine fans filmed the scene on location in Magaluf, Majorca – an incident inspired by the real-life experience of the show’s co-creator Iain Morris.

When asked if Will likes football he replies: “Yes, but not Burnley.”
