Your chance to become the sponsor of Colne United Football Club

Needing a new kit for next season in the Craven and District Football League, the club is calling on local businesses to support them by buying a ticket for its prize draw to be in with a chance of having their brand printed on the front of the new shirts.Each ticket costs just £40 and there will be 20 available to cover the £800 cost of the new kit. The winner will be drawn at random during a draw taking place on Friday June 16th, 2023.Andrew Frost, club secretary, said: “Grassroots football is sadly dying as teams fold due to being unable to cover the rising costs for pitches and officials. Having won our league last season, we’re aiming to buck the trend and earn back-to-back promotions.

“We’re hoping local businesses see this as a fantastic opportunity to support a well-known local football team and potentially have their brand visible to people from across East Lancashire and Yorkshire.”

Colne United, established in 1977, ended the season in style, beating Settle 4-2 at home.
