Toy store to open in Burnley centre

The Entertainer is scheduled to open on Saturday, July 11th, and will join River Island and Peacocks at the heart of the new-look Charter Walk shopping centre.
Charter Walk manager Chris Gribben said they were extremely happy with The Entertainer coming to town.

But The Entertainer have signed on the dotted line and we’re happy to have them. They are a national brand and it is something different for the town.”
With no plans in place yet to carry on redevelopment work in Market Square, attention now shifts to the £3m. scheme to modernise St James’s Street.
The project, which will see all street furniture along Burnley’s main thoroughfare replaced, will start in the autumn.
Mr Gribben added: “It will complement the rest of the town centre work nicely. We welcome the upgrade work. Yes, there will be some minor inconvenience but it will be worth while.”
