For more than three decades Nimmo has quietly established himself as one of the most respected guitarists, singers and songwriters on the European blues scene. Alongside his younger brother Alan, he helped form The Nimmo Brothers in Glasgow during the mid-1990s, creating a band that would become one of the defining forces in contemporary British blues.

At a time when the UK blues scene was crying out for fresh voices, the Nimmo Brothers injected it with Southern soul, blistering guitar work, heartfelt songwriting and performances that owed as much to gospel and Americana as they did to Chicago or Texas blues.

Their reputation spread rapidly throughout Europe, earning multiple British Blues Award nominations, critical acclaim and a fiercely loyal following. Long before today's resurgence of British blues, the Nimmo Brothers were proving that home-grown artists could stand shoulder to shoulder with the very best the international scene had to offer.

His solo career revealed an even broader musical canvas. The Wynds Of Life, recorded in Austin, Texas, blended blues with gospel, country, soul and Americana, showcasing not only his exceptional guitar playing but also his gift as a songwriter capable of crafting songs that resonate long after the final chord fades away.

Then came Sky Won't Fall, an album now widely regarded as one of the finest British blues releases of the last decade. Rich in soul, drenched in feeling and overflowing with superb musicianship, it received widespread Album of the Year recognition from critics and fans alike while earning Stevie British Blues Award nominations for Best Male Vocalist, Best Guitarist and Best Songwriter. It remains a benchmark recording—an album that perfectly captures the honesty, warmth and emotional depth that have become his trademark.

Later in his career, Nimmo joined Alan as guitarist and vocalist in King King, one of Europe's premier blues-rock bands, but recently opted to step away from King King. Nimmo has chosen to devote himself entirely to his own music, his songwriting and his solo performances.

His concerts are intimate, emotional journeys through blues, soul, roots and rock, delivered by a musician who has nothing left to prove and everything left to say. Tickets to Nimmo’s Barnoldswick show are available at https://www.barnoldswickmusicandartscentre.com/stevie-nimmo-acoustic
