Strength in Struggles CIC to host fourth wellbeing day at Whalley Methodist Church
The event, which takes place at Whalley Methodist Church, will feature inspiring talks, exhibitors showcasing alternative therapies and wellbeing activities, and a raffle with some amazing prizes.
A day dedicated to looking after your body, mind and wellbeing is to be held in Whalley.
Strength in Struggles hub is to host its fourth wellbeing day on Saturday, November 14, at Whalley Methodist Church.
Running from 10am to 5pm the day will include inspiring talks and exhibitors showcasing alternative therapies for mental health and overall wellbeing.
SIS founder Beck House said: “The day will focus on inspiration, connection, conversation and practical wellbeing activities, with something for everyone.
“Whether you’re looking to learn something new, try a different approach to wellbeing, meet local organisations, or simply take some time for yourself, you’ll be made very welcome in a warm, friendly and completely non judgemental environment.
“Our wellbeing day is about recognising that wellbeing looks different for everyone and giving people the opportunity to explore what might help them feel healthier, happier and more connected. Whether you’re already prioritising your wellbeing or perhaps you’re struggling and don’t know where to start, come along and spend the day with us.
“Throughout the day, there’ll be a fantastic programme of talks, workshops, activities and wellbeing experiences, alongside opportunities to chat with local support services and community organisations. There will even be the opportunity to purchase a cheeky Christmas present.”
There will be talks around mental health, sober living, menopause and alternative therapies, including mushrooms, Reiki and Bowen Therapy. The day will end with a guided meditation.
Tickets, which include refreshments throughout the day, are available on the eventbrite platform. A raffle will also be held with some amazing prizes.
Beck added: “ Everyone is welcome. Come as you are, bring an open mind, and leave with new ideas, new connections and hopefully a little more in your wellbeing toolkit.”
Beck founded Strength in Struggles in 2023, inspired by her own lived experience with a mental health breakdown 19 years ago.
The Strength in Struggles CIC wellbeing hub was officially opened in the former station house in Station Road, Whalley, by former Burnley FC and premier league footballer Clarke Carlisle, who is now chairman of MIND.

The hub is home to a variety of free or accessible activities, support sessions and community groups. There is also support for parents and families, women and men only support, and activities and support for young people, workshops and mental health education.
