Burnley UKIP wins county seat

UKIP has won its first ever seat on Lancashire County Council.

Alan Hosker took the Padiham and Burnley West seat from Labour's Marcus Johnstone.

He polled 1,234 of the votes, 288 more than Mr Johnstone, the previous Cabinet member for environment, planning and cultural services.
