Rotarians' bucket collection in Clitheroe to help beat a killer disease raises £165
Rotary in Clitheroe and Ribblesdale would like to thank all those who made donations during the recent "End Polio Now" collection on Clitheroe Market.

Even with social distancing, using buckets on a pole, the total collected was £165.79.
Organiser of the fundraising event, Mr David Bleazard, said: "But that's only one third of the story! With the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation adding £2 to every £1 collected, our final total going to help eradicate polio is £497.37. Polio is almost beaten, Africa is Polio free with only Pakistan and Afghanistan still having new infections. Thank to everyone who donated."
