Five lucky recruits will be paid £300 to sleep as the bed maker searches for a ‘pyjama army’ to test and review a selection of mattresses, pillows, duvets and blankets from the comfort of their own homes.

Silentnight is looking for candidates to provide honest feedback on its range of mattresses, duvets, pillows and mattress toppers.

Each successful applicant will be sent a bespoke ‘snuggle bundle’, with items matched to their height, weight, shape, and other factors such as whether they sleep on their side or backs, and whether they tend to be too hot or chilly in bed.

From there, all there is left for candidates to do is pick out their cosiest pyjamas and hop into bed for a guilt-free snuggle and snooze fest at a rate of £300 - with Silentnight offering a Netflix subscription as an added perk.

Hopeful applicants will be asked to write a short personal statement detailing why they are perfect for the role - with Silentnight keen to hear anecdotes about all the times applicants have been late for work after sleeping through their alarm clock, and their top tips for a good night’s sleep.

Kat Collins, senior brand manager for Silentnight, said: “With the long dark winter nights ahead we’re looking for a new ‘pyjama army’ to provide vital feedback on our products.

"Sleepers come in all shapes and sizes, with different wants, needs and personal preferences, so our ‘snuggle bundles’ will be bespoke to each recruit

“As part of our mission to change how people sleep for the better, we’re looking for applicants who take sleep seriously. If you can’t resist a siesta in the afternoon, if you’re the type of person who spends all day counting down the hours until bedtime, or if you find yourself hitting snooze on your alarm clock every morning, this is your moment.

“You could be paid £300 to do what you do best - all you have to do is apply.”
