Former professional dancer Barbara, who is 86 said they are keen to encourage more people to come along, adding “We have people who come from all over the area and they love it. Dancing is the perfect way to keep fit and active and really enjoy life.”

Sessions are held on Thursday from 1-30pm to 3-30pm and the admission price is £2.50 a head, including refreshments.

In 2024 Barbara and Francis hosted a wartime themed tea dance that raised £800 for the Burnley branch of the St Vincent de Paul Society, now known as SVP. The organisation helps vulnerable and disadvantaged people across the borough.
