Burnley FC in the Community, who run the Community Kitchen food bank located in Charter Walk, has seen a deluge of online donations come in during the past few days from a number of kind-hearted Clarets supporters.

Supporters shut out from grounds due to coronavirus now have the option to pay £14.95 to watch each Premier League game not originally scheduled to be shown live on BT Sport, Sky Sports or Amazon Prime.

The charge has come in for heavy criticism with a number of supporter groups encouraging fans to spend the money "helping those in need rather than lining Premier League pockets".

Demand for the Burnley Community Kitchen food band has increased significantly since the start of the pandemic

And generous Burnley fans have done just that; donating in their droves at a time when Covid-19 has seen demand for the food bank increase significantly.
