Tutor Lorraine Jones, who will be teaching on this programme, said: “I’m really excited to be leading this new adult learning course, working with individuals who may have extensive experience on stage or in front of the camera and those who are fulfilling a long-standing ambition to act.

“The skills you’ll learn on this fascinating programme can help you in every aspect of your life – not just when you’re taking part in a performance. This course can give you self-confidence and a real insight into how your body language and facial expressions, as well as your tone of voice, can influence those around you.

“Plus, you never know where this course could lead! You may clinch roles as an ‘extra’ on television or film shoots; you could be recognised for your talent on the local stage or even land a role on a top soap opera."

Neil Burrows, who is assistant principal at the college, added: “We’re delighted to be launching our new autumn programmes and feel sure there is something for everyone to enjoy, including this exciting acting course which is a great addition to our regular programme.

“We’ve worked hard to make sure that we meet all the latest Public Health England guidance relating to Covid-19 safety and can welcome adult learners on to our campus for the great courses, which are run mostly in the evenings and weekend.
