Crowds of people braved the cold and lined the streets around Burnley town centre hoping to catch a glimpse, or even have a quick word, with Her Majesty The Queen when she visited in 1987.

Her tour of the town included stop offs at Moorhouse's Brewery and Burnley Mechanics.
