LETTER: Council tax payers not funding Palestinian twinning
They say a lie has gone round the world while the truth is still putting its boots on, and so it is with the idea that Pendle Council and Pendle’s council tax payers will be contributing towards our twinning with Beit Leed in Palestine. In words of one syllable: this is not true.
Any costs incurred by our group will be met wholly by contributions made voluntarily by Pendle people. Many have done so already and we hope many more will do so in the future to help support this very deserving cause.
We hope the truth is now suitably booted.
