LETTER: Burnley-Manchester trains - we’ve been conned
The timetable is out and I am disappointed our new train service is not a fast service to Manchester which was promised.
It stops at most stations all the way to Manchester. The service takes 52 minutes weekdays with most stations called at and 51 minutes on Saturdays. It takes 59 minutes on Sundays with all stations called at.
The last train back from Manchester on a Saturday night is at 21.01 hours. I think we have been conned. Currently it takes just over an hour by going to Hebden Bridge and changing and coming back.
