I was fortunate enough to attend the Howard Rigg Leader Times Stage Awards at the Pendle Hippodrome earlier in the year.

And what a great night it was.

Not only did it celebrate all that is good about the strength and depth of the local amatuer theatre scene, it also celebrated the remarkable achievement that is the Hippodrome itself.

A great team of volunteers, hard-working and determined, saved this great building and turned it into something everyone in Pendle should be proud of. It is 100 years old this year, why not join in with its celebrations?
