Masons help research into Parkinson's Disease

Freemasons from Nelson have helped to raise £90,000 for research into Parkinson's Disease.

The donation was provided by the Masonic Samaritan Fund, which celebrated its Silver Jubilee by awarding £1m. to medical research.

Freemasons in East Lancashire were invited to vote for their favourite charities and chose the British Heart Foundation, the Macular Society and Cancer Research as well as Parkinson’s research.
