Man accused of killing teen appears in crown court

A man charged with murdering Haslingden teenager Declan Eastwood has made a brief appearance at crown court today.

Sean Fell (24), of George Street, Haslingden was remanded in custody for a plea and case management hearing on October 17th.

Seventeen-year-old Declan was found with serious injuries at an address in Princess Street, in the early hours of Saturday. He later died from stab wounds.

In a preliminary hearing lasting several minutes at Preston Crown Court, a provisional trial date was set for January 16th.

Defence barrister Mr David Temkin made no application for bail. The defendant was remanded in custody by Judge Anthony Russell QC, the Recorder of Preston.
