James Alpe Ltd of Clitheroe raises £5,000 for Rosemere Cancer Foundation in annual golf day
The company's annual golf day, held at Clitheroe Golf Club, saw 19 local teams compete in an 18-hole Texas Scramble tournament, raising funds for Rosemere Cancer Foundation, a charity close to the hearts of the James Alpe team members.
A Clitheroe company raised thousands of pounds for charity during its annual golf day.
Manufacturer approved bodyshop James Alpe Ltd raised £5,133.57, including £280 in potential Gift Aid, for Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
Held at Clitheroe Golf Club, the event had 19 local teams competing in an 18-hole Texas Scramble tournament with a shotgun start.
Emerging as victorious was a James Alpe team made up of bodyshop business development manager Charlotte Wright, her husband Paul Wright and their work colleagues and married couple Oliver and Natasha Cross.
Charlotte said: “The golf day has been running annually since 2019. What started as a relatively small event with around eight to 10 teams has become an increasingly popular and well-supported occasion and we have been fortunate enough to raise funds for several fantastic charities and causes.
“This year, our chosen charity of Rosemere Cancer Foundation has an extra special meaning as one of our much-valued James Alpe team members and friend is currently receiving cancer treatment.

“We are incredibly proud of the strength, courage and positivity she has shown throughout her journey. She is a very important part of our team and knowing that we are supporting a charity which helps people just like her has made this year’s event even more meaningful to us all.”
Company managing director Lee Shaw added: “ We're particularly grateful for the continued support of our suppliers and business partners, many of whom have been supporting our charity golf day since it first began. Their loyalty and generosity year after year mean a great deal to us, and without their continued support, these events simply wouldn't be the success they are today.”
