Jonathan Lord (35), a gamekeeper on the Walshaw and Lancashire Moor Estate, was taken to hospital with a broken arm and cracked rib after the incident off Halifax Road, Briercliffe, on Tuesday morning last week.

He had parked the vehicle to speak to someone and it is said to have lost its grip on wet and slippery ground, colliding with Mr Lord before plunging into a ravine.

A spokesman for the estate said Mr Lord was released from hospital late last week and was now recovering well at his home.
