The ‘UK Foo Fighters’, who’ll take over Clitheroe on Saturday, February 27th, will take audiences on a journey spanning 3 decades of music from the now legendary band ‘Foo Fighters’ and their charismatic leader, Dave Grohl.

After forming in Harrogate, Yorkshire in 2007, originally evolving from a covers band named Speedsta, the ‘UK Foo Fighters’ have gone from strength to strength. The six-piece, fronted by Jay Apperley (as Dave Grohl), alongside Ollie Button (Taylor Hawkins), Hurricane Henderson (Chris Shiflett), Ricky Collins (Pat Smear), James Wade (Rami Jaffee), and Joseph Phipps-Pearson (Nate Mendel) have been featured in Rolling Stone, Q, Planet Rock MOJO, Kerrang, NME and Classic Rock, building an incredible reputation as one of the premier Foo Fighters tribute acts.

The ‘UK Foo Fighters’ have become a world-class tribute band, earning an endorsement from the legendary Dave Grohl, who personally invited Apperley on stage during a secret pre-Invictus Games warm-up set in Brighton to sing the song ‘White Limo’ with the band in 2014. The band also featured in a 2017 BBC music documentary called ‘UK Foo Fighters – My Hero’, placing them firmly amongst tribute’s elite.

The band have since added to their legacy by releasing ‘Inside These Four Walls’, a self-made documentary film which offers an intimate look at their journey recording and playing through historic locations like Abbey Road Studios and The Cavern Club and graduating to performing in 02 Academy venues across the United Kingdom.

Widely regarded for nailing the true vibe of a Foo Fighters live experience, they deliver high-energy sets that last for over two hours, which feature hits such as ‘Everlong’, ‘All My Life’, and ‘The Pretender’ alongside deep cuts, ranging from ‘Dear Rosemary’, ‘I Am a River’ and ‘Summer’s End’, making their performance in Clitheroe a must-see for Foo Fighters lovers.
