Open to amateur photographers across the UK, the Trust is looking for images that capture the beauty of the Ribble catchment’s riverine wildlife, and show wildlife making use of the Ribble’s watercourses and river banks.

Harvey Hamilton-Thorpe, programme manager at Ribble Rivers Trust, said: “I’m looking forward to seeing what people come up with for this competition. We’re lucky to have a wide variety of exciting riverine wildlife in the Ribble Catchment – otters, birds, fish, bats, dragonflies, invertebrates living within the rivers – all of which act as interesting subjects for photographers.”

The competition forms part of Ribble Life Together, a programme of river improvement projects and people-focused activities that explore and celebrate the rich heritage of the Ribble Catchment and encourage more people to discover the wonder of our rivers for themselves.

Ribble Life Together is supported by National Lottery Players through the Heritage Lottery Fund, as well as a range of other funders.
