Drivers face delays as road to Hebden Bridge is closed
DRIVERS travelling from Pendle to Hebden Bridge on the Widdop road will face a lengthy extension to their journeys over the next month.
The road through the village of Slack has been closed to allow Yorkshire Water to carry out essential work to a water main and will not reopen until April 8th.
This means there will be no direct route to and from Hebden Bridge and traffic will be diverted along the main road through Burnley and Todmorden, adding up to 20 miles to journey times.
