Police apeal following violent late-night disorder in Nelson
and live on Freeview channel 276
Police were made aware at 10-45pm of cars driving at speed in Manchester Road towards Brierfield.
At 11-10pm officers received a report of a number of males fighting with weapons in the Lidl carpark in Nelson. A BMW X5 with extensive damage was found abandoned at the scene.

Hide AdThen at 11-43pm police received a report of males fighting with weapons in Westmoreland Street, towards Lomeshaye Road.
There are no reports of any serious injuries.
Nobody has yet been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.
DI Mark Saunders, of Burnley CID, said: “This behaviour is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by the police. As you saw with the arrests made last week, if you are engaging in this kind of behaviour then you should expect a knock on the door.
“I know that law-abiding members of the community are absolutely appalled by it. I want to reassure them that patrols continued to be heightened in the area and work is ongoing to identify everybody involved.”
