Police have issued a dispersal order in Burnley this evening following reports of anti-social behavior.

The order gives police the power to tell a person acting in an anti-social manner, or who is likely to act in an anti-social manner, to leave a specified area.

It covers Thurston Street, Belverdere Road, Yorkshire Street, Ormerod Road and Church Street, and will be reviewed at 2am tomorrow (April 6th).

A similar order was put in place in the Woodbine Road area of town over the weekend.

A police spokesman said: "There will be a visible police presence in the area to provide reassurance to the public.

"Anyone with any information should call 101 quoting log 1173 of 05/04."
