Countdown to Towneley Music Festival

The inaugural Towneley Music Festival is nearly here and with it a weekend of top notch live entertainment.

The two-day festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday with organisers promising fun for all the family.

With three stages - one had to be added due to huge demand - the festival will star some of the country’s most impressive up-and-coming musicians and tribute bands,

These include Small Weller, Happy Mondaze, UB40 Experience, Take All That, Joe Publix, Beautiful Coutch, Myth of Unity and Jeramiah Ferrari, with The Dolls headlining on Sunday and Masters of Madness tribute act, One Step Behind, headlining on Saturday.

There will also be plenty of local acts making an appearance including Columbia and Dirty Suns

Madge Nawaz, the festival organiser, said: “It’s going to be a fantastic weekend for all the family. There really is something for everyone.

“We have a great mix of bands, plenty of entertainment for the children, a beer tent and much more.

“The weather is also looking like it’s going to be good for the weekend so hopefully we have a good turnout.”

Tickets for the festival cost £15 for adults (18+), £12 for early bird bookers, £10 for 16-17 year-olds, £8 for 16-17 year-old early bird bookers, £5 for 6-15 year-olds and entry is free for under fives (although a ticket is still required. Doors are open from 2pm to 11pm on Saturday, and noon to 8pm on Sunday.
