Clitheroe Pop Choir and What The Pluck String Quartet team up for charity event at St Paul's Church
The Clitheroe Pop Choir and What The Pluck String Quartet will perform a unique blend of Bridgerton-inspired classics and pop anthems at St Paul's Church in aid of Derian House Children’s Hospice, with tickets costing £10 and under-16s attending for free.
The Clitheroe Pop Choir and What The Pluck are set to deliver a fantastic evening of live music on Thursday night, but with a unique twist.

St Paul’s Church will host a performance that combines Bridgerton-inspired classics and much-loved pop anthems for an evening that features strings, songs and showstoppers.
The performance, which will take place on Thursday, October 22nd, will be held in aid of Derian House Children’s Hospice, with all proceeds supporting the hospice’s work with children and families.
The event comes after the Clitheroe Pop Choir undertook arguably its biggest challenge to date in the summer- holding a singalong atop of Pendle Hill.
The idea was the brainchild of Gaynor Sutcliffe, who is a highly regarded multi-instrumentalist that directs the Clitheroe Pop Choir and plays violin, piano, trombone, double bass and accordion proficiently in The Swing Commanders. 40 members of the choir made the trip up to Pendle Hill for the singalong.
“It went really well,” Sutcliffe told the Express in the summer. “We were quite amazed at how many people, how many choir members actually made the effort to come and there were just as many spectators that had come up to watch us. So we were quite emotional, really. It was great. The weather was good, the skies were blue and the views were perfect. We were dealt a good hand,” she finished.
Following the singalong, the Clitheroe Pop Choir attended the Pendle Inn pub, where they performed classics such as ‘Listen to the Music’ by the Doobie Brothers in front of a pub full people in their second singalong that evening. The Clitheroe Pop Choir and What The Pluck will be hoping for a similar atmosphere on Thursday night as they raise funds for Derian House Children’s Hospice.
Tickets to attend the event at St’s Paul’s Church cost £10, with under-16’s allowed to attend for free. To reserve tickets, call/text Peter Riley on 07973 627500
